How I'd find electrical customers in Tennessee's nuclear buildout Follow Oak Ridge nuclear projects to Clark, Bechtel and Barnard, then see how I used ATI to find BESCO and start an electrical sales prospect list.

TVA just received construction approval for a 300 MW nuclear reactor near Oak Ridge. A 214,000 square foot nuclear fuel plant nearby is moving into interior utilities and equipment installation.
If I sold electrical supplies, I'd be calling the companies behind both.
TVA announced the Clinch River permit on September 29 . I followed that news to the other nuclear projects around Oak Ridge and the companies building them.
My first call: Clark Construction
TX-1 construction photograph published by Clark on August 24, 2026. The photo predates the September 24 structural-completion announcement.
TRISO-X announced completion of TX-1's main structure on September 24 . Clark continues as construction contractor as work advances into interior utilities, manufacturing equipment and supporting facilities.
I'd ask Clark:
"Who handles purchasing for conduit, fittings and grounding materials on TX-1's electrical work?"
I'd send the buyer my product line, manufacturers represented and delivery territory, then ask which materials still need quotes.
Clark's supplier inquiry route would be my starting point. I'd identify TX-1 in Oak Ridge and the exact products I sell.
Two more project teams I'd contact
Bechtel, on TVA's Clinch River reactor. Bechtel joined TVA's team in 2024 alongside GE Vernova Hitachi and Sargent & Lundy. TVA says it continues negotiations with industry partners on cost sharing and has not announced a construction start date. I'd use Bechtel's supplier hub to introduce my company and ask about qualification and purchasing for my product category.
Barnard, on Kairos Power's Hermes 1 and 2. Kairos names Barnard as general contractor for both demonstration projects . Hermes 2 broke ground on April 17. Through Barnard's vendor route , I'd ask who holds the electrical work and who buys its materials.
My next contractor call: BESCO
A faithful excerpt of the ATI record, not a screenshot of the product interface. BESCO is a prospect to qualify, not a contractor announced on any of these projects.
To find regional electrical accounts, I used American Trades Index (ATI), the platform I built to help salespeople find construction projects and trade companies in their market .
I searched the Knoxville metro for active electrical contractor and business credentials. One result was Broadway Electric Service Company, LLC, known as BESCO .
ATI holds its active Tennessee business credential, license 6642, verified September 30. I checked the company's website next.
BESCO lists nuclear electrical construction and maintenance experience , plus an Oak Ridge office .
I'd call and ask:
"Which Oak Ridge nuclear projects are you pursuing, and who buys your conduit, fittings and grounding materials?"
The search I'd repeat in my own territory:
Electrical. My service area. Active business credentials. Published contacts.
For each suitable account, I'd find the buyer and ask:
Which materials do you need quoted? Which manufacturers and specifications are approved? What supplier qualifications apply? When is pricing due, and when must the material arrive?
My follow-up list would have a buyer's name, a material requirement and a quote date beside each opportunity.
