SMS terms

The program

American Trades Index sends text messages to subscribers who agree at sign-up. The messages are:

• Project briefings: permits, bids and awards in the subscriber's territory, each with its source and date.
• Answers to the questions a subscriber sends by text.
• Account and trial notices, such as a sign-in code or "Your free trial ends in 3 days. Keep your briefings:" with a link to keep the plan.

American Trades Index does not send offers, discounts or promotions by text. Those go by email only, with an unsubscribe link.

Consent

Sign-up shows one unchecked box, required to sign up, right above the button: "I agree to the Terms, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms, and to get American Trades Index texts at this number. Each agreement is recorded with the exact text shown and its version, the time, the IP address, the browser, and the page it came from.

How often

Message frequency varies: at most one briefing a day, a reply to each message the subscriber sends, and an account or trial notice when one applies.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, set by the subscriber's mobile carrier.

Stop and help

Reply STOP at any time to stop texts; one confirmation follows and no further texts are sent. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

A mobile number and its consent record are customer account data: American Trades Index does not sell them and shares them only with the service providers that deliver the messages. See the privacy policy.
