Pursue NICET III in Automatic Sprinkler System Layout as the priority, and treat the state licence as the local wrapper around it. THE OTHER HALF OF THE JOB IS THE CODE. Sprinkler design and installation is governed by NFPA 13, 13R and 13D, and inspection and testing by NFPA 25. Those standards, not a state syllabus, are what the examinations test and what an inspector applies. |
