| Requirements | PLUMBING JOURNEYMAN. An applicant for the journeyman examination must be EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE and CERTIFY THREE YEARS of plumbing experience to be eligible to sit it. Three years is a shorter runway than the four or five most states require, and Oklahoma states it in years rather than hours for plumbing, in contrast to its own electrical license, which is counted in verifiable hours with a commercial/industrial split. FEES. Journeyman $75.00 in total, made up of a $25 application fee and a $50 initial license fee. That is among the lowest entry costs for a state journeyman plumbing license in the country. A TEMPORARY JOURNEYMAN PLUMBING license is available and the board publishes a separate application for it, which is the usual route for someone who needs to work while their full application is processed. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR is the separate business-level license above the journeyman. |
