Master: 4,000 hours supervisory experience as a licensed journeyman + pass the Master Plumber Law and Rule exam. Residential Journeyman: 6,000 hours as apprentice + 432 classroom hours (3-yr program) + theory/practical exams.
ReciprocityLicensure by endorsement available for out-of-state applicants whose home-state license is equivalent to Utah's; requires a Verification of Licensure from the home-state authority.
RenewalTwo-year cycle, licenses expire November 30 of even years. Continuing education: 12 hours per two-year term, of which at least 8 hours must be core education.
